More Gripping Beast Arabs painted.

28mm Plastic Arabs and the first mounted troops for the collection all painted earlier in January 2016 and submitted to the Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge.
The robes on these miniatures really give the painter a great opportunity to create patterns and borders. It adds interesting detail and breaks up all that single colour. The blanket behind the saddle also is a great place to get creative.
Slightly different parts are in the 3 sets. Arab Infantry, Light Cavalry and Heavy Cavalry. I have mixed them all up. The bows for the Infantry are different to the mounted versions.
I did not go for super sandy basing but instead..... Arid over desolate wasteland.
Less flock than I use on the Red and Black force and I actually paint the flock with some Khaki. Just really a drag over the top of the grass. It really helps dull the flock and help with the dusty look.

It's been a very productive January on the figure painting front but I am back at work now so things will slow down. I still have some big things planned though so stay tuned.

Cheers for now from Brendon.
